{"id":3234,"date":"2025-07-10T07:55:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T07:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orpheus.hr\/en\/?p=3234"},"modified":"2025-07-10T05:55:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T05:55:16","slug":"summer-singing-courses-in-orebic-17-07-2022-23-07-2022-07-08-2022-13-08-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orpheus.hr\/en\/summer-singing-courses-in-orebic-17-07-2022-23-07-2022-07-08-2022-13-08-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer singing course in Orebi\u0107, 20.07.2025. \u2013 26.07.2025."},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Summer singing course (based on the method of\u00a0 School of Uncovering the Voice), will be held in Orebi\u0107 on the Pelje\u0161ac peninsula in Croatia from the 20th \u00a0until the 26th of July 2025.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During the course week, the participants will meet twice a day in the Orebi\u0107 Municipality Council Building in the mornings from 10 to 12 AM, and from 2-4 PM.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The length of the course allows us to get deeper into creating musical instruments from ourselves, to understand our own voice better, as well as to understand the ways in which it can be more easily and efficiently used. Attention is also paid to listening to other participants in the group. The week&#8217;s work is mostly focused on training by the method School for Uncovering the Voice, as well as on singing monophonic and polyphonic songs.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The price of the course is 350 \u20ac per participant. An application fee of 100 \u20ac has to be paid (until June 15th, 2025.), on the account number (the account is owned by mr. Baldo Mikuli\u0107): 3225310425, Zagreba\u010dka banka d.d., Zagreb, Paromlinska 2, Croatia (SWIFT\/BIC: ZABAHR2X, IBAN: HR6423600003225310425): Accommodations are available in Orebi\u0107, Mokalo (5km outside of Orebi\u0107), in a camp or tourist apartment, as well as in other neighbouring villages (Viganj, Ku\u010di\u0161te, Postup).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Orebi\u0107<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The little town Orebi\u0107, population 2500, is placed on the south coast of the Pelje\u0161ac peninsula, in the foothill of the St. Elias hill (961 m), facing the isle of Kor\u010dula. It is a picturesque little town, the cradle of sea captains and sailors, whose rich tradition is preserved in the Maritime Museum. Orebi\u0107 offers to its guests the untouched nature of hundred-year-old pine trees, cypresses (the famous &#8220;\u010dempresada&#8221;, a forest of pyramid-shaped cypresses and alpine pine trees, is growing at the slope near the seaside, under the Franciscan monastery of Our Lady), olive trees, almonds, agaves and flowers.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What you should visit:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Maritime Museum, Franciscan monastery, St. Elias hill, the isles of Kor\u010dula and Mljet, Dubrovnik, Me\u0111ugorje<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Wines from Pelje\u0161ac<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It is simply impossible to visit the second largest Croatian peninsula without seeing Pelje\u0161ac vineyards and giving your taste buds the satisfaction of tasting the top-quality wines. Scant soil and hard work of the industrious people of Pelje\u0161ac have produced famous wines which have made Pelje\u0161ac a well-known name in the whole world:\u00a0 &#8220;Dinga\u010d&#8221;, &#8220;Postup&#8221;, &#8220;Plavac&#8221; and &#8220;Pelje\u0161ac&#8221;. Wines from Pelje\u0161ac were enjoyed by the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans and Slavs. Emperor Franz Joseph, a wine connoisseur, has written in golden letters on his wine chart the Dalmatian wine from the Dinga\u010d area.\u00a0 The ex-president of the USA used to enjoy the black wine from this area. Besides the suites and camps, in Mokalo you will find a restaurant with Dalmatian specialties, a beach bar, a diving centre and a beautiful beach, a crystal-clear sea, a hundred-year-old pine tree forest, and cricket song. When at Ston, turn onto the Pelje\u0161ac Road (<em>Pelje\u0161ka cesta<\/em>) which will bring you to Orebi\u0107 in 60km. If you&#8217;re coming from the direction of Split, also take the D8 State Road via Makarska or Plo\u010de to Ston where you can turn onto the Pelje\u0161ac Road to Orebi\u0107. You can also get on a ferry with your car in Plo\u010de and be in Trpanj in an hour, from where it will take you about 20 minutes to get to Orebi\u0107. Once you&#8217;ve disembarked in Kor\u010dula, it will take you about 15 minutes to get to Orebi\u0107 with a ferry or a passenger boat. The Katamaran line (<em>Katamarska linija<\/em>) Split-Kor\u010dula is the fastest connection between Split and Kor\u010dula in the summer months. Orebi\u0107 can be reached by a passenger boat departing soon after the catamaran docks in Kor\u010dula. When you arrive at the airport, you have the option of organized transport to Dubrovnik Bus Station (<em>Dubrova\u010dki Autobusni kolodvor<\/em>), where you can catch a bus to Orebi\u0107. Rent-a-car is also available.
